Welcome to the website of Bearley Parish Council.

Parish councils are the lowest level of local government and are civil organizations i.e. not connected to the church.  The role of councillor is unpaid and varies widely according to the needs of the parish and the situation of the individual.

Bearley Parish Council is made up of up to seven councillors (we currently have five so are looking for two more to join us) and a clerk who is the sole employee.  The councillors are the decision makers and also are very involved in the work of the council.  The clerk ensures that the council operates within the law, looks after the finances and either leads or supports on activity as required.

If anyone is interested in joining the council, or just finding out more about what we do, then please contact me for an informal chat.
